The Virtual World of Dark VomiT - Beta Test  

Brand-stinking new! We are proud to offer a free download of our latest "Virtual World of Dark Vomit". A virtual walk-through gaming experience. Built much like our old cgi animations... only this time... you control the action!


Current known minumum system requirements to play the game (to be adjusted based on your feedback):
OS Windows 2000/XP, Processor Pentium III, 1ghz, Memory (RAM) 512 MB, Hard disk space 1.4 GB,
Resolution 640 x 480, High Color (16 bits) or better, Graphics Card Direct3D compatible w/ 16 MB VRAM,
sound card DirectSound compatible; CD-ROM Drive 12x or better; DirectX Direct X 9.0b or above.

the game engine is ran and supported by direct x technology.
**very important to have version direct x 9.0 (september 2006) and above (available as a free download online via Microsoft)
(to check if you have it or what version direct x you have... go to the run command (from your start menu) and type "dxdiag"). A box will pop up that looks like this:



If the version listed is below DirectX 9, please download the latest version at Microsoft.com

grab yourself a cup of coffee or tea when you download... the file size is hitting 80mb.

Once downloaded... unzip the entire file contents and click on the virtualdarkvomit.exe file.

Keypad for game play:
Move forward -- "W" or up arrow key
Move backward -- "S" or down arrow key
Move left -- "A" or left arrow key
Move right -- "D" or right arrow key
"Use" action and open doors -- "Enter"
Switching between weapons (once picked up) -- "1,2,and 3"
to fire weapon -- left click on mouse
the mouse movement controls angle of view
exit game play -- "esc" key


This is in beta testing right now.
If you come across any bugs or problems... please let me know by filling out the form below and I will try and fix and deal with it the best I can.
Known issues are "run-time errors" which can be caused if your video card is out of date and/or your computer does not have enough RAM as described within the minumum system requirements.
--as well as errors loading if your Direct X is not 9.0 or higher.
Unsure if it is Windows Vista compatible at this point.
